The Volunteer Experience Committee is part of the Girlguiding South West England committee structure and as Chair you will play a key role in delivering the Girlguiding Strategy for our Region. This is an exciting and important role to ensure that we can deliver a rewarding experience for volunteers.
As Chair of Volunteer Experience, you will work with the Chief Commissioner team and link into other relevant Committees, Advisors and Lead Volunteers to ensure that the Volunteer Experience element of the Region Strategy is achieved.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that Volunteers and young members are recognised for all that they do for Girlguiding.
As a member of the Awards sub-Committee, you will work as part of the Region Awards Team, reporting to the Chair of Awards to ensure that the Region Strategy is delivered.
The purpose of the role is to champion growth as a key priority for Girlguiding South West England and to work with the Lead Volunteer for MGR and play an active role in the County/Island MGR volunteer network.
This role would suit volunteers that are 18 years old and over and hold the Girlguiding Training Qualification.
The role of the lead volunteer for Youth Voice and Participation is to play a key part in developing a youth voice and participation plan and lead on the opportunities this encompasses including an annual residential event to deliver our Region Strategy for 2022-2024.

We have an exciting vacancy as our Lead Volunteer for Property. You will provide support and guidance to volunteers throughout the Region who have responsibility for Girlguiding properties, and work closely with The Chair of Compliance and the Region Office to arrange the bi-annual Property Conference.
Focusing on the Leadership Development Programme, you will be a part of the team that helps to support volunteers on their leadership journey. You will be inspiring and enthusing volunteers about the new programme and helping the Region deliver the ‘Rewarding Volunteer Experiences’ area of the strategy.
