The Region Thanks Badge is awarded by the Chief Commissioner to any adult member or non-member over the age of 18 years who has given service or achieved something special which is worthy of recognition by the Region. The Awards Sub-committee may also recommend a nomination. Letters of application for this award should be sent to the Chief Commissioner, c/o Lucy Asher. Nominations can be made by any member of Girlguiding, the Trefoil Guild and associated organisations.

The 'Thank you' badge collection has been designed so that you are able to thank the same person, more than once, and the recipient can collect them all and build up the segments to complete the set.

The Region's 'You're a star!' badge was launched at the 2019 Commissioners' Conference at Exeter.  It can be given by a Region member to anyone!  So if you are a Leader and want to say thank you to a team of parents for their help with an event, or if you are a Commissioner and want to recognise the commitment of your Leaders, this is the perfect way to make those fabulous people feel valued and appreciated.
