UKSA Guide and Ranger weekend
11-13 July 2025

Cost: £180 per Guide/Ranger
(1 leader free per 10 guides/rangers)
Deposit of £25 per girl required at time of booking. Balance to be paid by no later than 1 April 2025.
The price includes water sports, (sailing a keelboat or dinghy, kayaking, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, team games, raft building and more), evening activities (water polo, knot tying, crabbing, a beach clean, team games or a chilled home cinema night), return passenger ferry from Southampton, dormitory accommodation, homecooked meals.
Additional leaders will be charged at £120 per leader.
Please note you don’t need a Going Away license to go on this trip.

FAQ
Can rangers attend without their leader like young leaders can?
Our preference would be for ranger leaders to attend with their unit. However, if a ranger unit has a small number of girls that would like to attend but the leader is unable to go, then region will have volunteers going that will look after these rangers. Please note: Ranger leaders will need to register these girls on the booking site as a unit and will be responsible for collecting the fee from parents and for sending out and collecting in consent and health forms. Leaders will also need to arrange transport to and from Southampton.
Young leaders who are not rangers will be able to book as an individual.
Will units from the Isle of Wight receive a reduction in costs?
UKSA have agreed that units from the Isle of Wight will pay £150 per person as they will not be travelling on the ferry to and from Southampton.
What times will the ferry leave Southampton?
Unfortunately, we do not have the confirmed times yet, however there will be 2/3 times for you to select from and we will make sure that we that these are as late as possible to allow those travelling from further away to get to Southampton.
