Girlguiding South West England have partnered with Tash  from The Swish once again, and have launched a brand-new resource expansion pack for 2025, with new fashion upcycling challenges, hints and tips, and even more exciting upcycling ideas, as well as an exclusive offer for our Girlguiding SWE members.

The 2025 resource is now available to download and can be used alongside the 2024 version. You do not have had to have done the 2024 resource to do the 2025 resource and you can do a combination of the activities from across both packs. Coinciding with Global Recycling Day on 18 March 2025 and Earth Day on 22 April.

Girlguiding units can complete creative challenges that educate them around sustainable fashion, and inspire them to start thrifting, upcycling and making their own clothes. Every challenge puts a spotlight on sustainability and are based around 5 themes of re-styling, re-working, re-gifting, researching, and discovering your unique style.

We have prepared this resource to be as flexible as possible – the activities are designed to be completed at home or at unit meetings and can be completed over as many weeks as you need. We have provided full instructions and what you’ll need for each activity within the resource pack - some are just suggestions and you can adapt them to your needs, as well as if you want to fit it around any of the Girlguiding programme (there are quite a few interest and skills builder badges as well as UMAs that can be incorporated into the challenges).
