My Guiding fate was sealed when I joined Brownies at seven. I moved through the age groups and my most amazing opportunity was in 1985 when I spent a month in Sri Lanka on a joint Guiding and Scouting project supporting UNICEF. My leadership journey began with Brownies & I was Brown Owl for 17 years, moving to be a Ranger leader in 2002. I’m currently running a Guide unit alongside being County YL coordinator and Assistant Island Commissioner. I’m passionate about encouraging our young leaders and young members, they are our future.
My day job is in the finance industry where I deal with the firm’s use of applications, process improvement and sit on the Policy and Procedure Committee. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, crafting, and watching sport.
