I started my guiding journey as a Brownie at the age of 8 and guiding has remained an important part of my life for over 40 years. I ran a guide unit for ten years and currently I am a brownie leader with a city centre unit in Southampton.
I also enjoy working with adults in guiding. I am a trainer; the region's lead volunteer for safer guiding and have held several commissioner roles. I have played a key role in coordinating several region large scale events for girls of all sections and for the past 3 years have been Chair of Girl Experience
Professionally I am a retired teacher and headteacher and continue to serve as a governor at a local primary school. As a member of the trustee board, I am able to share my knowledge and experience of strategic planning, people management, governance as well as operational guiding leadership.
