I am currently studying A-Levels in History, Literature, and Fine Art. In the future I hope to study Interior Architecture at University. Currently, I am a Ranger at 1st Camelford Guides and Rangers in Cornwall. I enjoy painting, reading, and swimming.
My journey in Guiding began at 10 years old when I joined my local Guide unit in the Bahamas. I immediately took to Guiding, as it allowed me to learn new skills like campfire building, knot tying, first aid, and many different crafts. Girlguiding has also allowed me to meet many new people and make great friends.
When I aged out of Guides at 14, I joined Rangers, and when I moved to Cornwall in 2022, I transferred to a local Ranger unit of which I am still an active member. I have recently started to look at becoming a young leader in my unit as I wish to continue to be involved with the Girlguiding community when I go off to university.
Being a Ranger in the UK has opened a variety of doors to new experiences such as summer camping trips including the Kernow Jamboree, participating in the Margot Robbie Cup, as well as making crafts for the annual craft fair.
I am now excited for the new opportunity to make Girlguiding in the UK even better by representing the South West region on the Girlguiding Council.
