UK Parliament Week is returning from 14th - 20th November 2022 and is now open for registration.

This is an annual event which spreads the word about what Parliament is, what it does and how you can get involved.  You will receive a kit packed with goodies including an activity booklet and ballot box, and you can pick and choose from the options in the booklet to tailor your activity to suit your Section and the time you have available.  At the end of the week you will be more informed about UK Parliament and know how to take action and make an impact on the issues you care about.

If you want to find out more or get started before your kit arrives, take a look at the online resources that are available - click here to go to the UK Parliament Week website.

Also on offer this year are visits to the UK Parliament Education Centre from 25th to 29th July for youth groups aged between 7 and 18.  The fun, interactive sessions are tailored to suit different age groups and this is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about how UK Parliament works.  Your visit will also include a tour of the Houses of Parliament.  Travel subsidies are available and if you are a Unit in an area of deprivation or struggling financially, you might be eligible for help from the Girlguiding Units in Need Grant which can be used to cover travelling costs for Unit Members on trips - click here to find out more about the grant.
