We are now taking bookings for the Region's big virtual sleepover which is being held over the weekend of 20th - 21st February to celebrate World Thinking Day.
The event is open to all Sections and there will be lots on offer to keep everyone busy and entertained - from the Promise renewal at sunrise, to the international campfire and bedtime stories. We will be travelling across the globe, checking in with the five WAGGGS World Centres in London, Mexico, India, Switzerland and Africa, and taking part in various activities from cooking local food to playing traditional games, building models of famous landmarks and testing our knowledge with quizzes.
You can register yourself and your girls to take part in WTD@HOME as a Unit virtual sleepover, or if you are unable to attend yourself, your girls can join the fun as individuals. Please pass on all the information about the event to parents and carers so your girls don't miss out. Everyone who is registered will receive our fabulous new badge, and the charge of £2.50 per person will cover the Region's donation to each of the World Centres as a thank you for their help with this event.

Our volunteer team are working hard to finalise all the details of the weekend which has been organised very quickly and at a tricky time, so please bear with us.
We hope to be able to e-mail full details of WTD@HOME to those who have registered by the end of January. This will include information on the various activities and their timings, and the equipment and/or ingredients needed - these will all be readily available either around the home, in the supermarket, or online. Links to the various activities will be sent out by e-mail over the event weekend and will also be available on a closed Facebook page an hour before each activity is due to begin. We will also send a test e-mail a week before the event so you can check that everything is working.
You do not need Zoom or any other online platform to take part in WTD@HOME, but some Leaders may choose to use Zoom to connect with their Unit - the Region is currently offering beginners' and intermediate Zoom training online so do sign up for this if you think it will help - click here for more information.
We will update the booking site as our plans come together, and will also keep you informed both here on the Region Website, and via our social media platforms.
