We are delighted to launch our newest ambassador, Holly:
“Hi, I’m Holly Webb, and I’m a Brownie and Guide Leader in Reading in Berkshire. I’ve been a leader for 26 years, and I love it, even though I’m starting to see my old Guides’ children come into Brownies now, which is a bit scary! For the last twenty years I’ve been a children’s author. It was actually creating pantos for my Guides to put on at Christmas that made me realise how much I love writing – so that’s definitely a huge thank you to Girlguiding!
I’ve written over 150 books, mostly chapter books for younger readers, and longer books for children aged 8-12. My books are published all round the world, in 33 different languages. I love writing, and I’m so excited to share that love with Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers. It’s so wonderful to be able to create a world and let someone else into it when they read your words! But I was a huge reader before I fell in love with writing, and I really want to spread some book love with Girlguiding South West England. I’m hoping to set up some online book clubs where we can talk about our favourite reads!”
