What is the purpose of the role?

  •  To play a key part in being a volunteer member of the Volunteer Experience committee, sharing your voice as a member of this committee to deliver our region strategy for 2022-2024. 

 Who can do this role?

  • Adult members that are 18 years old and over and have a passion for giving our volunteers a rewarding experience within region. 

Some of what you will do:

You will work with other members of this committee to ensure that the rewarding volunteer experience element of the region strategy is achieved.

  • Make sure the voice of our adult members and volunteers is heard during the meetings.
  • Support volunteers on this committee with their specialisms. 
  • Bring innovative ideas to the committee meetings. 
  • Help the chief commissioner team, region office and relevant committees gather ideas, views and suggestions from members as required on region events, activities, and projects.
  • Support and assist with projects, initiatives and actions which are generated from the Volunteer Experience committee 
  • Attend the Volunteer Experience committee meetings held in February, May, and September.
  • Have a passion for making sure that all volunteers have a rewarding experience.


What training and support do you get?

  • Support and development from fellow volunteers.
  • Help with developing skills and abilities to perform the role by signposting to relevant training opportunities.
  • Reimbursement of agreed expenses.
  • A clear complaints procedure to help sort out any problems or disagreements.

What skills do you need?

  • Passion for creating a rewarding volunteer experience. 
  •  Good communication skills.
  •  Ability to work as part of a team.
